Some captures from today's survey near the Fortescue Marsh
We sometimes find the odd 22 or 303 cartridge up here but a 50 cal?! Jeebus, I think it's a 50 cal, but whatever it is it comes from a massive gun and not the usual hunting rifle you see up here. Mostly the kind of gun you find on top of a tank.
found another cool abandoned stockyard in the afternoon
noticed a storm front rolling in ....
which turned into this around 6pm, massive and dumping huge amounts of rain across the Pilbara

hahaha 12.7 sounds much better, what do I know about shell casings, someone shouted 50mm so I believed em :)
still has to be a big gun yeah? not an off the shelf item?
