The post/rant below got me thinking about artists who were once brilliant but waned over time. It's inevitable that the majority of musical artists cease to be relevant at some stage. Some fade away gracefully, others implode and others just don't know when to stop (see post below).
So this got me thinking about REM and Michael Stipe. What a band, they rocked the 80's and some of the 90's, but after that they, well they stopped being relevant, in my mind anyway - sadly.
Now they've released this album, and it's so gonna be my next purchase
