Following on from this earlier post on the Stahl House, here's another fav. This house is singularly responsible for my love of the conversation pit. I have a friend who has designed one into his amazing house... one day, one day.
Meanwhile here's the Miller House in Columbia, Indiana. It was ommissioned by industrialist and philanthropist J. Irwin Miller and his wife Xenia Simons Miller in 1953. Eero Saarinen was the architect, the interior design was done by Alexander Girard and Daniel Urban Kiley designed the gardens. (I think I got all of that mostly right.
