I grew up with The Wonderful World Of Disney every Sunday night (yes even here in Oz). Uncle Walt used to come on and introduce the show and myself, my sister and my brother would hope and hope that this week it would be a cartoon, hopefully Donald Duck (they were the best, Mickey sucked!) but mostly it was Herbie The Love Bug :o) Well this year Disney turns 50!! I got to go there 2 years back and even at my age it had a magic feel about it (enuff with the sop), but it seems that Uncle Walt wasn't always a happy man, in fact he was a grump!
"Walt Disney yelled at me. It happened at Disneyland, the happiest place on Earth, at least when you're not getting yelled at by the fellow who built it. "
"My sister looked up at the crinkly, mustached visage of Disney and began stammering how great his TV show was, and how great his amusement park was, but his face was turning red and, even though this was in the days before color TV, something didn't look right to me. And then came the explosion, louder than the sound of the blanks that the Jungle Cruise captain fired at the fake hippos."
This is a great story, read it all here! I still love Disneyland though, it brings out the kid in ya :o)

Are you sick of your partner never doing their share of the washing, well a Spanish designer has come to your rescue. He's invented a washing machine called "Your Turn", which will not let the same person use it twice in a row. It uses fingerprint recognition technology to ensure the job of loading is not dumped on just one individual.
Your Turn requires both partners to register their fingerprints on the sensor while it is hooked up to their home computer. When the sensor is then plugged into the washing machine, the software will only allow the wash programme to start if a different finger is placed on it each time. Great idea huh :o)

Aren't the United States law enforcement a great bunch, first they rub liquid pepper spray into the eyes of protesters!! Nice work tigers, serve and protect yeah, cept I'm not sure who you're serving and who you're protecting here, and how goods the court system, 3 trials, an 8 year wait, the defendants win the case and get a whole $1.00 in damages - huh!!!???
Then there's the case of two young guys doing what young guys do, make penis statues out of snow, sounds normal yeah, haha!! But you wouldn't expect the cops to show up after the statues are gone and give you a citation would you!!!??? Another good day at the office guys!
