31 years is a hell of a long time between drinks. Now if you aren't a sports fan, or a football fan or even an Aussie football fan, then this post probably wont interest you at all. Those that are still reading will probably know by now what I'm gonna talk about. If you still aren't sure then click that link below and have a listen to one of my nations greatest sporting moments.

Yep, Australia have qualified for the world cup! We all congregated at my house yesterday afternoon to watch the game live from Sydney and man what a game that was. It was full of agony and ecstasy, more agony for Uruguay than for us in the end, but I have no problem with that. Uruguay are far from being humble and sporting when it comes to this game, so to wipe the smug grins off of their faces made the victory just that little bit sweeter. The following comments by one of their star players, that Uruguay have a divine right to play in the World Cup finals, sort of shows you what we think of Uruguay football at the mo.
"We're a big country with a big past and we've got a right to play," "Uruguay has a divine right to play. Uruguay is Uruguay," Recoba, 29, told reporters in Italian and Spanish and translated into English by visiting journalists.
God obviously had money on Australia last night ;o)
Half time reflections
I don't have a pic of fulltime, mostly because these guys were piled on top of each other screaming their lungs out and I was somewhere in the middle, unable or uninterested in taking a pic at the time :o)
Celebratory refreshments
Yep Uruguay, you lost, you aren't as good as you told everyone you were, we weren't as bad as you believed we were and you can watch us in Germany on TV in Montevideo. See ya! Airport is that way!!
I know I sound ungracious in victory, but if you have followed the game this week, you would know why I have little time for them!
