Yep I did it, I bought an iPod. I've spent most of my "exciting" weekend engrossed in it and I've finally uploaded my entire music collection bar the 3 Harry Connick Jnr CD's I own. Why do I own them? I blame my ex, when we split she took the good stuff and left me the crap. No that's not true, she took a lot of crap with her. We had very different tastes in music. Still doesn't explain why I have 3 of Harry's CD's though does it. My only defense is that I didn't know either until I went through the stack.
Anyway it's all done now. 1407 songs, which equals 5.54 GB of my 60GB iPod. How the hell am I gonna fill that?!
One new feature of iTunes that I think is cool is the album cover work thing.
But don't expect it to work properly, much like anything linked to iTunes, for example; load a compilation CD and it won't be able to get the artwork from the web for some reason, so it simply chooses artwork from one of the artists on the CD and lumps that with every track on it. For the Trainspotting soundtrack I now have a Lou Reed album as the cover.
So it's now 1am and I'm hella tired, but it's been worth it. I no longer have to carry a folder full of discs with me when I'm away and I have a huge selection to choose from . A song for any mood.
"it had to be you" - shut the hell up Harry
