More and more of my city is falling to the virus that is development. I'm not against progress, but why does it always have to be at the expense of our old buildings. Soon enough Perth will be completely glass and steel and without any character whatsoever.

This is the scene at the Northbridge end of the Horseshoe Bridge. A new Performing Arts Center or something, I've heard that the row of buildings in the background are going too, I hope not. Northbridge used to be safe from the glass/steel virus (tax office excepted), but like all viruses it will eventually encompass everything within reach.
