JACKSONS REDUX

Well it's actually redux number 5 I think, I love Jacksons, it can do no wrong. I've only ever had one bad meal there and that was about 6 years ago, I'll even blame my date on the night for that. Hey I don't have a relationship with that girl any longer yet the restaurant stands by me, she never lets me down ;)

So I was keen to have the Dego menu again but Linda doesn't eat meat so main menu it was.

We started with ..

Me: Roast beetroot tart with chicken & yabbies & pumpkin salad
Linda: Chilli salt squid, chick pea & tomato salad
.
For main..
.
M: Duck breast, roast pear, rosemary potato & roquefort sauce
L: Grilled mushroom, truffle potato , spinach & free range egg poached in red wine
.
Finished with..
.
Both: Nougat ice cream, rhubarb mousse & chocolate crackle
.
This actually had gold leaf wrapped around the tip of the conical ice cream tower, very decadent eating gold.

Drinks..

To start: A glass of Ruinart Blanc de Blanc, Champagne FRANCEA

Mains: A bottle of D'arenberg 2004 Coppermine Road Cabernet Sauvignon

To finish: A glass of Mount Horrocks cordon cut riseling 2006, clare valley sa

So I think that fairly makes up for me missing her birthday 2 years in a row now, but good friends understand these things and I blame her entirely for not reminding me ...hehe!

hahahah thanks man, but you may wanna ask me what it cost before you do that, although I'm sure I am a good enough friend for you to spend those kind of bickies on, but you may just wanna buy me a new laptop, it's be cheaper lol
