A few weeks ago I made a huge and nervous decision to allow 2 of my best friends, Gen and Karks to organize my birthday party for me. Gah! You cannot begin to understand how hard this is for me to do. To say I am a bit of a control freak/perfectionist over things like dinner parties and birthdays is an understatement, I’m a huge one.

So I’ve decided this way of being is not good, I must allow others to express themselves and allow others to be in control…….sometimes. But ever since I said yes to their suggestion I’ve been on edge, I started off being okay with it and then one week passed with no word, then week two flew by and still no word from them until finally yesterday…..the casual email, “so you wanna send us a list of who you want to come?”. Gahhhh finally, “yes here’s the list I arranged 4 weeks ago, phone numbers and email addy’s, do you need anything else? Some venue tips, maybe some ideas for….”, “Nup, speak soon, cya”

OMG!! How can you be so chilled and relaxed, there’s so much to do, so much to organize, how will you get it all done in, hang on what is it… 9 days. You have 9 days till the party and only NOW you want the list?
