So I've made it to Melbourne, not without some struggle and some bad luck.

It all started at Perth Airport as I was about to board. I reached into my laptop bag feeling for my wallet - check, my phone - check, my camera - negative. Negative? What? But I put it in there! But yeah it's gone, I have no idea where it is. I put it in the bag when I jumped in my car as I left for the airport. But now it's gone. Fingers crossed it's on the floor of my car.

From there it went downhill as we sat on the tarmac for over an hour as they struggled to load the bags into our plane. Staff shortages they said. We finally took off and 3 hours later we're in Melbourne.

Off to collect my bag only to find another aircraft from Perth has landed in Melbourne just before us. Why two planes full of people had to travel to Melbourne from Perth this afternoon is unknown, but the end result is over 400 people waiting for their bags in the same place.

Then it happened, of course it did, the baggage conveyor belt broke down. Hahaha it just seemed so natural, it always comes in threes doesn't it? I'm here now though and a few beers at Birra Bella in Lygon St made all the pain go away.

At least I still have my phone cam.
