I loved how there were rows and rows of pre-prepared vegetables in the supermarkets in Italy. A contrast in a country you kind of hold up there a bit for its cooking skills, I mean who doesn't love home cooked Italian food? So I really didn't expect to see packets of cooked beetroots, potatoes, carrots and corn and well just heaps of stuff. Although pre-cooked non pickled beetroot has a lot going for it in my book.
I did cop a pile of strange looks for photographing food in a supermarket, but hey when you're travelling you care not as they'll never see you again ha! I did manage one last pic of these fantastic Fonzies, we call them Twisties over here. Awesome.
