SUMMADAYZE 2009

My fav gig of the year just rolled through town, made extra special this year with the return of Armin Van Burren.

Just read this piece in the local paper
The Summadayze music festival was awash with fluoro yesterday as a sold-out crowd of 20,000 ravers took in some of the best dance bands around, including Armin Van Buuren, Ferry Cortsen and headliners Underworld.
Gotta say that I haven't been called a raver in years haha and as you can see from the pic below; apart from Bradd it isn't exactly awash with fluoro (cept maybe security), way to categorise oh people of the press (probably didn't even go to the gig) but whatever. A great day out in the sun and on the grass. Highlight of course being Mr Van Buuren, second up would have to be Ferry Corsten. Seeing as he is a protege of Armins it only makes sense. Third would have to be Cicada, they where pretty damn good, we took bets on the nationality of the lead singer and contrary to the popular guess of Tonga it turns out she's from Iceland.

Some pics below, more here if you're keen

the wheel

Perth now has a big wheel, not so big really, half the size of the London Eye and one third the size of the Singapore one, bit sad really.
