THE MERCHANT

It's been a busy week/weekend catching up with peeps and it's only gonna get worse between now and christmas. The four of us managed to front up at about 200 restaurants tonight that were either closed for the christmas period (huh? do you not like making money?) or simply closed on a Sunday night (fair enough....I guess).

So after 20 laps of Beaufort st we settled on The Merchant, a pretty good choice, small menu and a little heavy on big meaty dishes for a summer menu but you can get around that. Waz and Gaz opted for the tapas whilst Steve and I went for straight mains. Finished off with possibly the best Creme Brulee I have had in Perth for a long long time. Four mains, a salad, 3 lemonades (it's a hot night), two bottles of wine (which you can select yourself from the wine store out the back), two desserts and a coffee all for $190.00 = good value. Friendly service too.
