ABANDONED

I often wonder what will happen to this building in William st. It's a mighty cool pile of bricks in my opinion. But it's being left to crumble, full of squatters and a prime candidate for a touch of arson. I guess then they'll be able to knock it over and develop the lot. So very much could be done with this if you just employed a little imagination....

cant, they've banned all the brothels from this area now, moved em further out. This is Chinatown now

This building has been rotting away since not long after I moved to Perth in 1991. I think it was a backpackers place when it closed.
Presumably the owner/s have been paying their rates all this time. They must enjoy throwing their cash away.

Sadly it's a common ploy by building owners to let a building fall into total disrepair and then they are allowed to knock it down despite any heritage restrictions council may have placed on it. A shitty trick but too common these days. I'm not saying that's def the case here but it looks like it
