NOW THAT'S REALLY REALLY HOT

Lulu has a great job cooking for the crews on survey vessels that cruise around Australia and SE Asia and a few weeks ago they passed by what remains of the West Atlas Oil Rig off the coast of Western Australia. Lulu snapped these pics and threw them onto Facebook. hope you don't mind me sharing them here girl.

Looking at the twisted remains you certainly get a true sense of just how damn hot it was on there. Great pics Lulu.

A few weeks ago it was still smouldering? It seems those photos were taken just after the fire went out.

wow - i find these structures so intriguing - such monuments of our species' ability to overcome barriers... like oil being at the bottom of the sea!
