Sitting at my desk being quietly industrious and bing out goes my power. Probably should turn my puter off when there's a thunderstorm anyway. No point sitting inside in the dark so I head out to my back deck and start watching the storm front roll in....
and then it hit....
We even had hailstones, not huge ones at my place but the size of golfballs elsewhere. My friends had a room in their Shenton Park house destroyed after the windows were smashed in, he was stuck outside and couldnt get back into the house "It was like a fucking tornado here dude...." Crazy stuff.
I filmed some of it, excuse my voice sounding like a chipmunk at times but I'm still getting it back after losing it for a few days....
this one shows the second front which was much stronger but no hail....
one more here if you can be bothered
as soon as it passed over the city took on a golden glow....
so that was my day, how was yours?

That sunset was spectacular too. Amazing creamy light with those grey-blue clouds.
Love Mum
good pics by the way
So, the plane taxis down the runway see, and then the pilot aborts his take-off and says in his understated way, "Folks, there's a bit of weather coming up. I might wait a few minutes for it to pass."
Then a few minutes later... "Folks, there's a few lightning strikes and the ground staff have been evacuated from the tarmac. We won't be going anywhere until they're allowed back."
Then a few minutes later... "Folks, the weather's cleared a little, but the radio communication tower is out, probably a lightning strike. We'll see if we can get you back to the terminal."
Then a few minutes later... "Folks, there's more lightning. The ground staff have gone back inside. We'll have to wait it out for a while."
Then, nearly two hours after boarding, we were off - smooth sailing for the rest of the trip.
Anyway, that's MY storm story :)
