Today was one of those days you don't want to have too often. A client needed an urgent survey done up in Port Hedland so I organised a crew of archaeologists and got myself out of bed at 4.30am for the first flight. A three day job at the most, but the whole thing fell in a heap (fault of the clients) so I turned around and flew back home. Not straight away mind you as there aren't all that many flights out of Hedland in a day. So between leaving home and returning 15 hours passed. 15 hours in which I achieved very little, I got paid so not a total loss.
I even had my sunglasses repaired at an optometrists in South Hedland while I waited, $10 to fix the sunnies and $1600 in airfares. A bargain. Meanwhile I snapped some awesome toilet graffiti and a bogan sticker....
what makes this so great is they spelt Heil Hitler "Hail Hitler" (you have to look closely under the swastika to see it but it's there) and then someone added a nice touch with Sheiskopf which is German for shithead. Wave to the Hitler bus now kiddies, Hail it!
Then there is this gem. That they added an acronym at the end makes it a gem. So now when you see simply the letters ATM you'll know what they mean....right?
and what can I say except "Stay classy Port Hedland"
