The repetitive horror
When I started blogging I read this and I've mostly stuck to those rules. I did fuck up on #5 fairly early on, although it was my brother who pointed my mum in this direction (I'm cool with that though). I've seriously stuck to #27 and why wouldn't you, but I've always added an extra one in my head #31: Never write about your dreams. Nobody gives a toss about your dreams, unless of course it involves sex (the guys) or comedy (the girls....nah, they like the sex bits too, who am I kidding). But I'm gonna break rule #31 right now*. I'm justifying this with the reasoning that I wont be discussing a single dream in detail as such, just a bunch of dreams with a recurring topic.
I keep dreaming about being back in a kitchen cooking and although different scenarios they have a theme; examples of these dreams....
- I'm catering for a huge function, like a wedding and all of the food is overcooked
- I'm on the front line of a restaurant kitchen (not always one I had worked in either) and only half the meals for a table are ready, the others are not even started yet
- I can't keep up with the orders, the intensity is incredible, people are yelling
- The food is undercooked, every time we bring it out of the oven
- There simply are not enough portions made up for the amount of covers we need to serve
- The orders just keep on coming and coming and coming and coming and...
So there's the theme, I'm back cooking for a living and every service is going bad, the stress is intolerable, I'm freaking out and THEN....I wake up, I always wake up, because I tell myself to wake up. I am now so used to having this nightmare that I simply realise I'm dreaming and that I do NOT have to take this shit. So now I'm awake, I'm in a pool of sweat and another nights sleep gets interrupted. Well I suppose it could be worse, I could be unbuttoning her blouse, slipping my hands inside her silky top and BZZZZZZZZZ the alarm goes off.
Heavy sigh

usually happens when I fall behind at work :-)
Tiff: I feel for ya I really do

Dude your dream screams over commitment to ,
-your job , is someone after your job , are they evaluating you .
-your house , are you behind in payments
-love life , are you doing to much chasing with no happy ending .
You dream of chefing because it was a huge part of your life .
I can imagine the archaeologist's version ,
scrapng dirt ,seeing a bone , scraping , scraping , but the dirt never goes away , can't get near the piece of bone , more dirt , more dirt , brushing , brushing ....
but , hey it was just a dream ,albeit recurring ,
but you know what freud said
It's all about your mother .....
still mad about not being breastfed ???
lol-Reb
none of the above reasons TBH (job wise or love life)
Thank god I don't have the archaeology version yet and that I wasn't breast fed has led to my fascination with all things boobage and why would I be angry at that ;)
