One of the major highlights of this trip was the Helicopter ride into the Grand Canyon, cloudy day so it wasn't the best for photos but none less spectacular in real life. There was even a little bit of snow up on the edge of the canyon. Great fun....
The final scene from "Thelma and Louise" was filmed here, when they drove off the cliff. It's also used by US air force pilots to simulate landing and taking off on air craft carriers
