AMAZEBALLS

This afternoon I was watching a doco called London Calling, it's about British Pop and this episode was on rock photography. Among a heap of other fantastic photos hey showed the classic Abbey Road pic with the Beatles on the crosss walk. It was then that I saw that guy in the background again. I've often wondered who he was and did he get famous for it, did he milk it for all it was worth? etc etc. Then tonight I was trawling through a few blogs and what do I find? Only this ....

Turns out his name was Paul Cole (c. 1911 – 13 February 2008) An American tourist in London at the time. He's often been quoted:
"I just happened to look up, and I saw those guys walking across the street like a line of ducks," Cole remembered. "A bunch of kooks, I called them, because they were rather radical-looking at that time. You didn't walk around in London barefoot."
Turns out not a Beatle fan either and has never even heard the album, he prefers classical music. He also never really milked his 15 minutes either. I so would have used this as a conversation starter with every single hot looking girl I met !! So a bit of a let down really, kinda preferred not knowing, on second thoughts you probably shouldn't have read all of that.
