Brian was most bodacious enough to send me some pics of an old abandoned gas Station in a village called Ballingeary in the southwest of County Cork, Ireland.
Looks like the two pumps in front were petrol, and the one at back right was diesel. You can't see it well from the photos, but there's a sign above it saying "Diesel ar díol anseo" - "Diesel on sale here".
"Margadh bia" is a food market, "Togha bia agus dí" means "the bestfood and drink". Ó Corcora would be the surname of the proprietors.
Long closed now.
