"Joey, have you ever been in a Turkish Prison?"
Possibly one of the greatest lines in movie history... possibly. Well if you've ever wondered what a prison shower block looked like, wonder no more. For I have been in a Turk... well, not a Turkish one, a decommisoned one. All part of that archaeology thing I do for a living. Last week we spent a bit of time doing some artefact conservation at the world heritage listed Fremantle Prison, and they gave us a space in the old shower block to do it in.
Two changes a week in a colonial era prison that enjoys Western Australian weather... stinky!
