Following on from this post, I found an abandoned hotel on an island opposite Porto Venere, Italy. Apparently they had started building it when licences where revoked or something, others said it was illegal money....who knows.

Notice the crane that has collapsed on the left side of the building and how the vegetation is slowly engulfing it from the right side.

I saw another one, a resort of sorts, from the train as I was speeding from Rome to Milan, sadly going way too fast to grab a picture.
