OLD PERTH # 9

Aherns had a run so it's only fair to do BOANS
for those reading and under the age of 20 this is where MYERS stands today

wellington st boans
BOANS
boans lit
75th Birthday celebrations - who says Perth doesn't know how to party
Boans

and then it all came to an end
Footnote: If you ever find yourself propped up at the front bar of the Queens Hotel in Highgate, note the marble slab the bar top is made from. It was originally a step from the central staircase in this building.

This was all gone by the time I arrived here in 1990. Perth's architecture seemed much more in tune with its climate back then.
Inevitable that the city was going to grow, but the glass towers just don't seem right. Air conditioning must be a major expense for QV1 and the like.
