OLD PERTH # 11

A request in the comments for some more old pics of Perth's arcades from twiceremoved. These are all I can find at the moment; Piccadilly Arcade 1972. I do have some great pics of the Piccadilly Cinema as well and I'll blog those soon.

and does anyone recognise these two old buildings? They're still standing too although one is now converted into office space and the other is abandoned for now.

Edit: The Desp was on the money in the comments, so to help you recognise the last pic, here's another angle.

Is the bottom building on the corner of Wellington and Milligan? The other looks familiar but I might be wrong - Roe & Lake?

on the money on both counts Desp. The Peters factory was recently a Tony Barlows store but empty now I think. It no doubt awaits the sinking of the rail and a new awakening ;)

Woo-hoo! I ride past both of those buildings everyday, so I guess they're ingrained into me. The old Motor house has the same shape, but it's been fancied up a little bit. It was a Centrelink for a while wasn't it?

In my dream world, the old Peters building and the Northbridge markets get merged into one site and the Subi Markets move back into Northbridge so I don't have to travel far to get some good fruit and veg. Because Subi is,like, a light year from Northbridge......

I think centerlink was across the road, it was a Wilsons carpark for a very long time until converted into office spaces with parking
